Subtle Atmosphere, Seamless Design: Grace Church Bethlehem’s Custom MDG Hazer Enclosure

At Grace Church Bethlehem, lighting and environment play a big role in shaping the worship experience. Their original hazer, however, was falling short. Instead of creating a fine, subtle haze that enhances lighting, it produced thick, cloudy smoke that distracted from the beauty of the room and did not align with the atmosphere the church envisioned.

Finding the Right Fit

Fresh Tech worked with the church to install the MDG ATMe hazer, a product that has become a favorite in churches across the country. The ATMe produces an incredibly fine haze that allows beams of light to cut through beautifully without filling the room with a smoky appearance. The effect is natural, subtle, and ideal for both modern worship and traditional services.

Blending Into the Room

While the ATMe was the right product, the factory design presented its own challenge. The unit itself is bright purple and requires a connection to a large CO₂ tank, which would have stood out in the carefully designed aesthetic of Grace Church’s stage. To keep the technology discreet, Fresh Tech created a custom-built enclosure that houses both the hazer and the CO₂ tank.

The enclosure was carefully matched to the stage with the same paint color, spacing, and finish, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the environment. The result is a solution that provides world-class haze while maintaining the beauty and intentionality of the worship space.

With the new system in place, Grace Church Bethlehem now has a lighting environment that feels consistent with the excellence of their services. The subtle haze highlights the beams of light without overwhelming the room, creating a worship experience that feels immersive but never distracting.
